Rendang Daging Rusa

Yesterday, we went to pasar tani as usual.. it was drizzling the whole morning.. while waiting for my prawn to be weigh, my eyes were caught at this guy selling venison..ai terus teruja nak beli.. sekali tanya harga.. RM40 sekilo and dia memang dah siap-siap timbang sekilo.. nak tak nak.. ambik je le.. so salah satu menu hari ahad yang mendung ni ialah Rendang Daging Rusa... ai cuma guna resipi yang ingat-ingat lupa.. resipi rendang biasa-biasa sahaja..

 Rendang Daging Rusa
Bahan-bahan
1 kilo Daging Rusa - di potong
Lengkuas diketuk
Daun kunyit dihiris
Gula merah
Garam dan gula secukup rasa
Sekeping asam keping
3 cawan santan kelapa
Homemade kerisik

Bahan-bahan kisar
10-12 biji bawang merah
4 tangkai serai
Cili kering
+
jangan lupa ingredient wajib
++a pinch of love ++
sebagai pelengkap kepada ketidaksempurnaan
Cara-cara memasak
*
*
so hasilnya
^--------^
*
*
tentulah kerisik yang sangat-sangat fresh.. syok kan?

Sambil-sambil menunggu daging rusa yang tak berapa nak empuk tu empuk, apa kata kita layan dulu Dim Sum.. Frozen Dim Sum halal keluaran TSL Bestmas Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.. hanya perlu kukus untuk few minutes and ready to eat...so I beli dua flavour..and it comes with sauce.. taste so good

Pecel Lele

Resipi Pecel Lele
(masa penyediaan -20 minit)
Bahan-bahan
6 ekor ikan keli yang telah disalai
1 biji Santan Pekat
Sedikit air asam jawa

Daun cekur yang dihiris halus(untuk hiasan)
Daun Limau Purut (optional)

Bahan-bahan yang ditumbuk
4 ulas bawang merah
1 ulas bawang putih
4sm isi cekur
20 biji cili padi
6 sm belacan yang telah dibakar
Sedikit Garam dan Gula
+
a pinch of love and drop of sincererity
Cara-cara memasak.

Ikan Goreng Special

How would you normally fry fish? of course all you need is to add a pinch of salt and tumeric powder and fry it.. very easy isn't it.. but I like to modify the norm by adding up a little bit of other simple ingredients to enhance the flavour.. or simply make simple sauce/dip for it... here's two simple dish which I just discovered and like...

A bit of hint :
The rule is if you find anything interesting when eating out , taste that something with your heart.. and try to figure out the main ingredients used.. then quickly try this  at home before the taste dissapear from your mind... Insya Allah if not better , you'll get 90% right... and the best part you get to share with your loves one..., friends or whoever you like...

I have tested my rule and it works everytime... sometime you got to do it twice or more to fine tune the look and the taste of your new recipe...

Test no. 1 :
Ordered this Fried Fish in Pakbara Thailand. To be there again is something which is not going to happen very very soon...
In less than a week, I tried this recipe with a bit of modification to suit my taste... see it's so yummy..

My modified ingredients :
Slices of Spanish Mackarel (Ikan tenggiri)
Tumeric Powder and salt

For the sauce :
Light Soya sauce
Fish Sauce
Sugar
Bit of chopped garlic
Chilli padi
Drop of tamarind extract

For Garnish
Coriander Leaf and Sliced Onion
and don't forget to put the magic spell
A pinch of love and flying kiss
**********************************
Test no 2 :
This is a bit tricky... my friend just upload this photo which I have cropped and described them
"Nasi bawal goreng....@banting....kalah kedai kat blkg kilang molex,prai....lazaaaatttt"
quoted from Mohd Izwan fb...
Though I didn't taste them, but using purely my instinct... I tried this recipe with the same fish..
Ingredients:
Ikan Bawal (Local)
(the taste of the local bawal fish flesh is so sweet and fresh.. )
Fresh Tumeric
Garlic
Salt
and don't forget
+++ a pinch of love+++
*
*
*
And the results of my test......
*
*
*
Pass with A++
*
*
Based on your observation, I leave it to you to judge which one is better.. I have my own fans and guinea **g to be the witness and judges to my experiments.. and most of them like mine... it's not me that make the difference.. you yourself can do this too...I do fail and got negative comments.. but to me most importantly, give yourself a chance. You continue doing it if you like and just stop the first time if you think you dislike it.

Try to practice this often and you will be the happiest person on earth because :
1. Your hubby will bring you to eat out more often for a new recipe discovery session
2. Upgraded your cooking skill
3. Develop your recipe bank
3. Variety of flavour, taste, colour, theme origin of food from rest of world in your cooking style
4. You often see happy faces from your loves one
5. Cost effective
and
6. Self satisfaction

Remember , you got to be sincere and cook with love...

Self Indulgence

Started my day with brekkie at Starbuck Coffee.. surprisingly on the 26th day of January they still have the
Toffee Nut Latte
but without the Red Cup..this is really unexpected..
enjoying every sip in a very chillax momentos
how I wish they have this coffee all year round instead of just in December
and
I have all the time for this
Today, I took half day leave for some personal reason
after settling what supposed to be done
I have about 2 hours left before clocking in to my office
*
*
After a thought, suddenly I remember of my long overdue wishlist
I then make my way to my first visit ever to
DOME CAFE
I don't even have a minute to go through each menu.. Ordered this, as suggested by the girl who served me but she suggested me to switch it to Olio with seafood.. whatever... how I wish I can bring this menu back home so that I'm more ready and know what to order for my next visit...
Since I am alone and not familiar with this place, to be safe,
 Place order for Take Away
Peek inside this bag
goooossshhh
The pasta look so good
and the aroma is everywhere
my stomach started sounded
ggggrrrrrrrrrr
*
*
*
*
I am quite positive that one day this dish is going to be served from my own kitchen... I got all the visible ingredients in my mind already
Linguini
Garlic
Parmesan Cheese
Seafood of your choice (Mussels, Prawn, Calamari)
Button Mushroom
Olive Oil
But I am still figuring out the herbs used for this dish
Could it be chilli flake, pepper, salt etc...
and don't forget to add
a pinch of love.. for the final touch

hmmm... best kan.. sekali sekala dapat belanja diri sendiri... okay enough.. I could probably have this enjoyment twice a year at most... my normal routine for weekdays would be having simple breakfast and a "tapau mixed rice" for lunch but with friends around to chat.. I think I like to keep it that way... and for weekend.. obviously spending my time with family is the greatest moment...

Cooking Mood

My cooking mood has increased tremendously for the past 2 weeks.. Reason being I have just completed my tooth treatment which prohibits me from taking most of the food... now after 6 weeks craving for real eating moments, I'm actively cooking and having food which I desired... I tend to create and imagine menus everytime I went for marketing.. end up cooking too many dishes.. sometime it can be like 2 main dishes, 1 vegetable dish and 2 side dish (fried fish , ulam, kerabu or sambal).... so during Thaipusam holiday, I thought of something prettty exotic and may not be favourable to some of you.. no offense but I think this salad is unique in its own taste.... I like the crunchiness and chewable texture of this thing. This salad is very famous in Thailand.
Chi..k..n Fe..t Salad
Ingredients
Chicken F...t (Boiled and Shredded)
Thai Shallots
Cut Chilli Padi
Glass Noodle (soaked)
Japanese Cucumber
Coriander Leaves
Tomato (diced)
Lime juice
Fish Sauce
Salt
and
A Pinch of Mom's Love
Method
Preparation time : 20 minutes

Tossed everything together
and
ready to serve....it's such a great appertizer
And what's served for the main dish?
Asam pedas Ikan Mayong
+
Gulai Lemak Putih Taugeh Kasar
and
Sambal belacan served with Kacang Botol

Look at that...
A plate full of dish...

Uncle Meet Again @ Ayeem Burger Paya Jaras

Uncle Meet Again... where ?? this time we planned to have dinner vis a vis meeting at Paya Jaras.. Meeting for our Chinese New Year's trip to JB. This is already the third meeting with list of suggestions but without conclusion. All members were present (Izwan, Dalyp,Azuan and Randy). Absent with approval (Wan  due to traffic congestions at Batu Cave, enche Senoi, and Izami on paternity leave). So we meet up at R&R Sungai Buloh for teh tarik and Maghrib Prayer then drove all the way to this western stall introduced by Izwan and Dee.
A stall named Ayeem Burger, located at Paya Jaras. A cowboy style waiter welcoming us.. The owner has chose to have a cowboy town decor style for his stall which has simply transformed this ordinary stall to a cosy place to hang out... It's like going to a mini museum that emphasis to every detail things displayed.
Getting there
If you're on NKVE, take Sg Buloh Exit, then keep left to Kuala Selangor.. After, pasar malam spot.. drive slowly, then you can see this stall on your left... very easy
Business hours
Open daily from 5.30pm to 2.30am.

Okay... enough about the stall deco.. now let's see what's served on the table
Chicken Chop
 Lamb Chop
 Beef Steak
