Boat Noodle

Have you tried boat noodle? We had it few months back.. in Publika... the concept of having small little portion in a bowl ... it seems fun, but I'm not keen on the idea neither the taste... small serving makes the dishes turn cold faster.

So, the small little bowl look like this... this bowl only cost you RM1.80

one bowl definitely not enough... perhaps you need tw...

Still not satisfying... the have more bowls.... the idea is to show off your stack of bowls ... haha

Sup Belut

You all suka tak hirup sup panas-panas, pedas dan masam? Contoh macam tomyum, szechuan hot and sour soup, sup ekor dsb... ai memang suka sangat.. even kalau buat sup ayam atau daging pun ai suka perahkan limau kasturi/limau nipis untuk tambahkan rasa masam tu... barulah kick.

Kalau kena time takde selera, cubalah hirup sup masam... insya allah terus berselera dan kalau yang rasa nak demam, terus rasa berpeluh-peluh...

dan kali ni, pilihan sup masam ai ... jeng jeng.. sup belut... yummy sangat... biasanya, sup belut ni femes kat negeri Kelantan... first time ai makan pun masa kat Kelantan... tapi sekarang ada kawan ai introduce kan satu kedai ni kat area Padang Jawa.... seingat ai dah lebih dari 10 kali pergi makan sup ni sejak diperkenalkan beberapa bulan lepas.....

Sup ni pekat. masam, pedas, lemak semua ada..... kalau berminat boleh lah cari kedai ni.. tapi sorry tak dapat nak share nama kedai sebab tak ingat....

Japanese lunch

I am now a bit adventurous in trying Japanese food..... had this last week... no word to describe, everything is yummy.

my favourite of all... Spicy Kaisen Miso Soup Pasta...

Sushi.. quite not like the rolls in wrap... still prefer the one with rice...

Yummy french toast

How to make real good french toast? I am still not able to figure out what is the best mixture and method to make best french toast. My benchmark of good french toast is from red bean bag.. Served with caramelised berries and banana, with a spill of maple syrup.... not oily... It is just perfect.. Can have two sets of these during lunch...

My real concern :

What is the best bread to use?

What do we put in the mixture? Is it just yolk, white eggs only, both? Add whipped cream? Add milk?

Do we bake or pan grilled or what?

Do we deep or spread the batter?

Some use flour?

Soon to be dapur magika kak lin's project.. Insya Allah... but give me a little bit more time to do expand my research on this... until such time happened... I will choose to have my favourite french toast from red bean bag....

Buffet dinner at Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur

 

Sometime last month, we had dinner at Majestic Hotel , KL. We were treated by our Big Boss for her promotion. Otherwise, I'm not sure whether I'll be here in the first place.... The buffet spread is great... They served full range Japanese menu, which is my favourite among all, Italian, Chinese, Indian, International, Malay of course and some other menu from other parts of the world.... 

I can't described more than the picture above for their desserts.... it has so much variety and it is being served by... just like when you buy over the counter... that gives the freshness and untouched by others... really I'm spoiled by choices they have.

This is what I took from Japanese counter... repeated 3 times to get more... 

and after eating so much of Japanese, I had this bit .. and that's it

Then I'm back to the dessert counter..... they have more than 12 flavours of premium ice-cream served including my favourite scoop, pistachio flavour.... 

It is recommended to have buffet here with your special one... heard the price is quite reasonable and food served are fresh ... no doubt on the variety of food they offered and cozy ambiance came with the package...

Sago Gula Melaka

Kuih melayu apa yang menjadi pilihan u all semua? Boleh dikatakan ai suka kebanyakan kuih jenis talam daripada jenis "savoury" ...dalam erti kata lain, apa jenis kuih yang ada elemen santan pekat lemak berkrim dan gula melaka...opppss tak boleh diamalkan selalu, tak bagus untuk kesihatan jantung..

Salah satu kuih atau dessert traditional kegemaran ai, kuih sago gula melaka... Tapi harus memenuhi kriteria sebenar, iaitu tak terlalu lembik dan tak pula terlalu keras... Mesti bergoyang gitu.... Barulah mencapai tahap piawaian citarasa ai....

Jadi, sekadar memenuhi craving ai untuk sago gula melaka ni, ai pilih untuk ke Old Time Malaya Kopitiam yang terletak di Seksyen 7... memang sedap dan berpadanan dengan harganya RM5 semangkuk .... Boleh dapat sepyrex kalau buat sendiri dirumah... jom kita cuba, bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

ROA by Jovian Mandagie

Tonight, after much exchange of suggestions on where we should eat, we finally decided to go ahead with ROA... feel like eating Mee Cikalang.. only served at ROA by Jovian Mandagie... it's their specialty... ROA is located in Seksyen 7 Shah Alam

This is it.... bismillahirrahmanirrahim

ROA served Manadonese origin food ... it a real authenticity... it's a soup based noodle served with vegetables and shredded fish.... Less is more, it is tasty.... don't forget to try their mango juice....

and this is their resipi turun menurun "Sambal ROA" itself. It tasted like cooked atas dapur kayu... yummy by a bit pricey... RM10 for this small little portion

This is our second visit here, but tonight Ms Dots is so lucky to meet Mr Jovian in person, owner and founder of ROA.. bare with my blurry photos...

ROA is great place to have peaceful supper, ambience is great. Good choice for special ocassion.... it was launched on October,1 open daily from 8 onwards,

Breakfast ride to Village Park

Craving for nasi lemak from Village Park. Ride all the way for this. It's a pleasant sunny weekend to go for a ride. Look at Baba's little girlfriend.. pretty much excited to go on the bike too.

Ikan Bakar Ride & Drive to Bagan Lalang

An unplanned weekend ride and drive to Bagan Lalang for seafood treat end of last year. Joining us that night were among our close friends.... some of dishes ordered... ikan 3 rasa, pepahat cili, ikan bakar.....friendship is about sincerity and togetherness in any opportune to meet on any occasion (ride, eat, picnic, karaoke, TT, TT, TT  etc) which creates stronger bond each day passes by... may our friendship remained forever in high and low tides.... had a great dinner that night.

Boss Farewell Dinner at Porto Romano

 

Farewell dinner for our boss... Ms N.. look at my lamb shank.... it's so yummy.... this is the second time we had a department dinner.. normally it would be lunch... upon special request to allow us to chat in a more relaxing mode....we decided to dine out at Porto Romano... Italian restaurant...it was a candle light dinner...

Lunch at Ben's , KLCC

Had this lunch with Fieza at Ben's KLCC two months ago... short and sweet .... good food, good desserts and chatting for almost an hour.... To me, Ben's main dish is very ordinary. But my compliment goes to their dessert... love to order the Caramel Macademia Cheesecake.... this is awesome.....

I ordered the soft shell crab pasta serve with white sauce......

Great ambiance makes ordinary food taste better!!!

Durian Crepe at SDCC

Had this during our CNY lunch at China Treasures, SDCC. To me it's not durian crepe.. it's actually durian wrap. The filling is made from the real durian flesh.. wrapped with it's skin... sprinkled of  cocoa powder and garnished with blueberry, strawberry , mint leaves and chocolate stick.... the taste is so rich.....

Birthday lunch at Elegantology

Traditionally celebrating colleagues birthday for the September and October babies... we chose Elegantology for the birthday celebration lunch.... food is good, ambiance is great (a restaurant in a designer boutique) , friendly chef and posh.... restaurant located in Publika...

Wedding ride to Ipoh

Pertama kali ride untuk attend ke majlis perrsandingan yang berlangsung di Ipoh. Wedding of Shima's sister . Alhamdulillah cuaca cerah dan perjalanan kami mengambil masa lebih kurang 2 jam . Tahniah buat pengantin and hubby ... semoga ikatan yang terjalin kekal hingga ke akhir hayat...

This is another city combo trip for us.... so far we have done this kind of arrangement and alhamdulillah our trip went through successfully as planned.... it's a bit tricky to do the flight booking... but with experience... you can get it done....

This year probably a year to visit Thailand for both of us.... We've been to 4 main cities and going for another 2 cities end of this year... since I have not been to these cities.... and we have been in and out of Indonesia for the past few years... I thought it will be a good vacation destination for us.... next to come..... ah ha... surpriseeeee.....

Let's get back to Phuket....

Phuket or Patong Beach is the most happening spot for tourists coming from rest of the world looking for fun and relaxing time.... put aside the "entertainment" bit....hmmm me definitely not a fan to that... we were here for the beaches... the beaches are still the best attraction for us to be here....
 

 

On our Phuket trip :

Day 1 : 

3.00 pm : Arrival at airport from Chiang Mai

4.00 pm : Arrived Patong beach by Airport Shuttle Bus 

(Cheapest to get to town ... pay THB90 per person)

5.00 pm : Checked in Hotel ACCA

5.30 pm : Rent a motorbike

6.30 pm : Easy ride around town, makan2

10.00pm : Massage and back to hotel

Unanimously be our favourite spot on all the Phi Phi Island's ..Pileh Lagoon is a simply breathtaking. A naturally formed lagoon with a deep sink-like bottom and shear limestone cliffs surrounding the lagoon on all sides. It's nature most awe-inspiring swimming pool................

On our back to Phuket, the waves is very high......it took us almost 2 hours on the boat..... alhamdulillah we safely arrived in Patong...

Day 3

7.00 am : Breakfast and easy ride

8.00am-9.30pm : Easy Ride to Phuket Town

10.00am - 11.30 am: Final shopping at Phuket Premium Outlet

12.00pm : Hotel checked out

12.00 pm - 2.00 pm: Easy ride around town, makan2

2.30 pm : Depart to Phuket International Airport

5.00pm : Took flight back to Kuala Lumpr

Jalan-jalan around Phuket town

Many tourist didn't come here.... most of the tourist spent most of their time in Patong Beach or any other famous beach in Phuket Island... but me and enche hubby were so curious to see the Phuket Old Town .... a very peaceful town... we came here to look for a tea... you must try their milk tea... the taste is very nice .... so we did found the tea at shop near the market area.. and bought 2 big packets to bring back to Malaysia....

An hour of shopping at Phuket Premium outlet..... so many things to grab... but we're here on our last day.... time and cash is limited..... so probably coming back again next month.... being here is like going to JPO.... the layout is very similar....

and our last lunch in Phuket.... though we had this everyday.... twice a day.... or three times a day.... we never get bored..... Sticky rice with fried chicken

and off we go on the airport shuttle bus.... just the two of us.... no other passenger except us....

the end of Phuket Trip

I have a continuation on our Chiang Mai trip.... some photos taken from enche hubby's phone.... which I must share with you guys....

Two things about the above photos...

- We met this Australian guy that can speak bahasa and Indon language....we shared interest that Bali is our favourite destination.... and he felt so happy that he finally can speak bahasa with us... though he commented that I can speak English well.... hahahhahah

- The mango juice we had is super yummy and cheap in Chiang Mai... THB30 ... we even can afford to pay for our friend's drink... same drink cost at least THB60-THB120 in Phuket..... we were rewarded recently on our drink purchase... a cendol for two of us were paid by a couple we shared the table with...that's about life... being kind to others will be paid in kind to... just a matter of time

Enche hubby's cooking experience...

Though I told you guys earlier that enche hubby didn't join for the cooking class... but he get himself very much involved apart from being supportive to me......
