Surprise B'day treat @ Hard Rock , Penang

Keeping a secret from your love one could be the hardest thing for me. The harder you're trying the more disaster you're making. I have planned for hubby's birthday treat for the past three weeks.. It's not so straight forward as I thought. I made an arrangement to go to Hard Rock Hotel , Penang. In the making ,have to arrange for flights, rent a car , what to bring, hotels, pressie, kids at home, office, his office schedules and etc. Firstly I thought I could have 80% chance of success. but things seems to be difficult towards the end.. he almost ruined the whole plan coz he got very important meeting to attend on that day. I told him that we're going to have special lunch and dinner in KL and he did not really convinced why  he supposed to go on leave for this and why can't I delay the plan. I told him this is going to be very special... and frankly I don't like to put him in this position... Alhamdulillah, he manage to do what he's supposed to do in the office.. and off we go... as planned, I pick him up at his office and we're flying to Penang.

I have booked and Extra Cheese Package for us at Hard Rock hotel, Penang. Arrived Penang at about 2.30 pm... had simple Nasi Kandar lunch... and hubby suggested we go and eat the best durian in Balik Pulau. This is not part of my plan. Doesn't matter, it his birthday so everything on me...Eating durian in Balik Pulau has been our yearly tradition. and the best time to go there is in end of May or early June... The Balik Pulau durian is so special and hubby's theory is that, the taste of the durian is very much influenced by its soil which is the combination of high hills and sea...We asked for Musang King or Raja Kunyit and I tell you , the taste is awesome...and don't mention the price... 

Then we make our way to Batu Ferringhi.... checked in hotel at about 4.00 pm. Wow, everything about the hotel is so good and I felt very happy about it... and of course hubby is speechless.

Hubby is still with his working attire... and he looked so exhausted.

Went into the room and I am suprised as there's a piece of cake on the writing table welcoming us... Yeap , I did mention it's supposed to be a birthday celebration for hubby during the dinner... but this is unexpected.....

We spent the rest of the evening at the pool and beach... and it's truly a moment.... suddenly, we felt very hungry and can't wait to have our dinner.

After the dinner, both of us felt so full for desserts, the meal portion were so huge so we thought of having a break and come back for desserts while enjoying the life band at about 10.30pm. They are kind enough to reserve a table for us...We came back and give him the pressie....I am now craving to have the blueberry cheese cake and the strawberry ice cream.. hubby didn't quite favour of the sweet things... so since it's part of the package .. then I have it all .... ruginya masa tu tak habiskan semua... memang tersangat la tak larat nya...

In return... got this!!!! he he

The next morning we were spoilt with the wide spread of buffet breakfast. Too many good food... we were rushing for time coz our flight is about 10.30am... and we need to stop by Nasi Kandar Line Clear and headed to Kg Melayu to get the bread... It's a must have food if you're in Penang....

One day one night is simply not enough to be here... We'll come back but this time we wanted to bring all of our kids here...There are so many things to be explored and everything seems to be so much fun... To me, I didn't do this for return or a praise.. it's a thankless gift for you and it's unconditional......

Definitely will do....
