At this point of time.. I still felt my body is light weighted like floating in the air... hardly walk straight and felt like the floor is un even... may be it's because of too long sitting in a boat cruising around the Mekong and Saigon River... actually it's not a boat... we get on in more than 6 different kind of boats.... it's a true experience...
We took a 1 day Mekong Trip and leave Saigon at around 8.00am... reach Mekong at around 10.30am.. and that's the last catch of the bus... the rest of the trip is by boat....
First boat to Unicorn Island...
First boat to Unicorn Island...
This is my favourite.... taking this hand rowed sampan through small islet under a green canopy of coconut trees to catch a glimpse of the daily activities of the local people. Heavy traffic in here.... 4 persons in a boat with 2 persons rowing..... The ladies just have the strong hands to row the "sampan".... and some of them are not young....
now I know the secret of Viatnamese lady keeping their body slender..... first they keep theirselves working/exercise... carying heavy loads... cycling etc.. then the food they eat... soup and vegetable spring roll...
I can now easily recognised the Vietnamese ladies even if they are standing 100mtrs away .... their body is slim... and they normally wear their long dress with high slits...
then another small motor boat with 12 seats to visit the coconut candy industry.....

back to another boat to another island for lunch

and boat again for frit orchard visit

*
last boat to Saigon... 2 hours in speed boat from Mekong River , the longest river in Asia to the Saigon River..
*
*
Arrived Saigon at around 6.00pm. After 10 hrs trip.. we spent more time on boat than on land.....boat , ferry is a main transport for people living along the Saigon and Mekong River
*
*
and in between the boating....we had these activities...
- getting around the local village
- visit coconut candy industry
- visit the fruit orchard
- visit to honey bee farm
the honey taste good here because it's a longan honey... the villagers planted many longans here... and the bees sip from the longan trees... you should try their longan... it's as big as pingpong ball size and taste very very sweet...
and the candy... so yummy

and the night before we took the along the Saigon River... enjoying the breathtaking night view of Ho Chi Minh city... Sightseeing cruise ship embarking from Vuon Kieng Quay... they called it IndoChina Junk....

Ho Chi Minh at night... under the moonlight
