My series of journey for small time this time is to Tangkak, Johor... it's a typical old town which consist of a row of old style shophouses selling all the basic necessities for the local people...
From Tangkak , you can continue your journey to Pekan Jasin and Gunung Ledang through Asahan..
I got fascinated looking at the old building with details on its wall and the authentic flip wooden window....
Generally, the population of Tangkak is dominated by Chinese and recently , this town is very famous on selling variety of fabrics and curtains... Lots of local tourist (Rombongan Cik Kiah) came here to buy fabrics...
For enche hubby, he will definitely stop at his favourite durian stall. This stall is located by the roadside of Jalan Tangkak-Muar. From Tangkak toll exit, turn left to Muar and about few km you can see this stall under a big tree on your right.. landmark for this shop is his red old car... Now is not a season for durian .. but still he has few to offer and this time enche hubby tasted the durian from the old tree planted more than a decades ago... for me, this durian has a dry flesh at the outer but creamy in the inside...has a mild balance of bitter, sweet and creamy taste....
Next small town journey could be Jasin, Melaka... my first impression to this town is got lots of things to explore... but I will try to come here on Saturday so that more shops will be opened as compared to Sunday
Sneak preview of Jasin town....
