As promised I will share and reveal each spot we stopped to fulfill our hunger needs. Our first brekkie destination is in "Muo Town". We have been recommended to this shop. In Muar you will see the 1 Malaysia concept harmonily applied. Shop owned by Chinese but shared with Malay stall operator selling variety of local famous food. Muar is very famous of it's satay served for breakfast. Other than that, they have stalls selling Mee Rebus, Lontong and Roti Kukus. Don't ever leave Muar Town without a sip of their famous locally grind coffee.
1/2 BOILED EGG
MEE REBUS and SUP TULANG
For lunch, we chose to have another round of famous Mee Rebus @ Restoran ZZ, JB. Located nearby JKR, JB with a RIMBA concept eating style. What makes their mee rebus different from the rest is because they add on the "Lamb Bone". You can also order their very rich "Sup Tulang Kambing" served with plain white rice.
Our next food hunt is to look out for Kacang Pool. Very famous dish in Johor. Something new to me and I kind of like this dish.. hmm less is more. Something lite but enough to make you Burrrpp.
Kacang Pool is kind of thick tomato sauce with kacang pool as the main ingredient garnished with egg, green chillies, onion, limau kasturi and diced ripe tomato. Served with toasted butter bread which makes the whole thing taste awesome.
NASI BARYANI & ASAM PEDAS
Restoran Pokok Sena, Jalan Seraya 83000 Batu Pahat , Johor
Our last stop for the trip was lunch at Restoran Pokok Sena. Open 24 hours and famous for their Baryani and Asam Pedas. Two different owner under one roof. One stall selling Asam Pedas and the other selling Baryani at one corner. You should also try their tauhu goreng served with beansprouts , cut cucumber and sambal kicap. Price are reasonable. Baryani available are chicken, beef and lamb.
