It's good to have a holiday in the midst of busy time. A holiday which I never thot of realising within this few years.... Itulah rezeki namanya... thanks to Air Asia for the low fare...where are we going? This time we're heading down under to Australia.... the last time we went to Sydney was 14 years ago.. and that was our honeymoon... I couldn't remember much on that trip... I thot of going to Sydney again but when I was doing the booking, no Air Asia flight to Sydney.... so here we are ...
Gold Coast is really beyond my imagination.... this time round, my parents went with us.. so we decided not to go to all the theme park and seaworld and whatever playground which Gold Coast are famous for... what ever.... anyway..its winter though...so what do we do.... nothing else but free and easy sightseeing and a bit of SHOPPPPPING.... I never knew that we can buy so many stuffs here
ranging from clothing to household .... I'll drop you a photo on what I purchased....
Before I wrote about good and best thing of Gold Coast.. let me share the most unforgettable experience we had... and it happened within hours before we depart. We didn't apply for VISA... can you imagine? How ignorance am I? I normally click the 'X" button whenever the reminder we prompted.. and at that point , I should be grateful that I have IPhone 4S to go through the panicky moment....see how convinient can that be... that's all upon his Will. Syukur alhamdulillah.
I just knew that the Australian VISA application has to be done through online ETA and you need about 10-15 minutes to process including making an online payment of AUD20. Alhamdulillah it went through except that enche hubby didn't get an immediate approval for his VISA. ..... Your application has been referred to the Australian Immigration authorities for further assesment. Please check whether your application has been successful within 12 hours... sighhh ... never expect this to happen. Luckily the Air Asia counter staff help us to check with the Australian Immigration and finally enche hubby got his Visa approved.... phewww.
This is how it should appear if your Visa application go through... and this one is mine and my parents
what enche hubby is getting is like this.... no good
With that little unexpected experience...makes us appreciate the whole trip. It's not easy for us to get there and because of my ignorance , much resources , time and efforts put in would have just wasted..... should be more aware and not just taking things for granted.
We can only afford to stay few days in Gold Cost. The high exchange rate of AUD makes everything expensive overthere. Well kata orang dah alang-alang smapai, put aside the currency matter, we still buy whatever we thought of buying.. but of course within our mean.
We rent an apartment .. Meriton Serviced Apartment in Broadbeach .. A seaview studio for us and 1 room apartment for my parent.

on our trip to Gold Coast.....we actually stretch our trip to Brisbane. Since we got a car rented from Avis to bring us around .. so why not ? a very comfy Mitsubishi Lancer to fit four of us. Thanks to enche hubby for becoming a very realible driver and of course with my assistance on manual GPS. Guided by the paper map ok...

the last minute discovery. found this superb outlet on our last day in Gold Coast... but this shop is in Brisbane... so drive all the way again. I regrreted of not buying more of these fragile thingy.... very worth it.
so that's justified my 40kg baggage requirement plus 30kg for enche hubby. p/s we only need 15kg for both of us when we depart from KL to Gold Coast.
Have a look at what we bought. I bought all that for my dream kitchen... my kitchen theme would be Stainless Steel. From the equipment to the cabinets plus the utensils and pots will be in stainless steel. chose that to look professional....hahaha.... I'll give a sneak preview on my dream kitchen.
But that's my part.... enche hubby has his own target so.... we did stop and hop to few motorbikes shops for two reason... a mark for a friend who owns Harley Davidson and of course something for Mr. V...
.
.
.
From Harley to the rest of motor bikes shop
then retail escort to Movie World....
then stop and snap shot session...... anywhere we felt like stopping for photo clicking..... for the scenary of the blue skies and blue ocean... it's really a breathtaking view...
.
.
.
Best thing, enche hubby met his school mate Marina in Gold Coast... she's now in final year of completing her Phd at Bond University.....
Verangan - rangan konon-konon macam belajar satu uni kat oversea......dreaming... Sesuaikan kalau kitorang couple satu uni... sure macam belangkas...
.
.
.
I got to enjoy this cup of hot chocolate to keep me warm.... it's now winter in Gold Coast.
