Yogyakarta.....great travel experience

Nothing excite me most than to go for travelling..... a year ago... I made a booking through Air Asia with a bit of challenge where I had attempted to book two destination at one go....... finally my idea works.... for less than RM200... I managed to grab this for two of us ...out of the offer....

Day 1 : Kuala Lumpur - Yogyakarta

Day 3 : Yogyakarta- Jakarta

Day 3 : Jakarta - Denpasar, Bali

Day 5: Denpasar, Bali - Kuala Lumpur

When I did a research on things to do and see in Jogja..... I knew that I don't have enough time to cover all... there's so much to see and do in Jogja..... I didn't expect this.... so the strategy is to cover the most important one and squeeze something in between ....

Day 1

The transporter from Yesterke drove us to Borobudur right away upon our arrival at the airport...Borobudur is quite a distance from Jogja town centre... we're lucky to pass by Gunung Merapi which was exploded not long ago..... back to Borobudur Temple.... we're here to witness the archeology wonders that has ranked as world heritage No 592.

We have to pay the foreigner entrance fee which is 4 times higher than the locals have to pay......

and for IDR125,000 per pax, we got this....here we go.... stepping in to Borobudur with my little knowlege of history ..... who cares.....

and we have to wear this batik sarong as a show of respect....... ok lets climb up the stairs..... phewww stamina is required here....

But look ..what I found here... Salak Pondoh... real damn sweeeet. and sooooo chhheeeaap....

and we found this as well... soursop or the local call it Sirsak..... have been buying this lately coz some says very good for anti oxidant and anti cancer..... and the price here can make you think twice to pay for tiny size you get... but here... the fruit is everywhere..... and again its soooooo chheeeeaaaap and it ripen properly..... so all were good to eat....

From Borobudur which is located in northen of Yogyakarta..... we decided to go to Depok Beach untk tujuan makan seafood.... emangnya uennak tuenan mangan nang kene.... translated being.... hmmm memang sedap sangat makan kat sini.....will write in another post just for our special culinary visit....... for now, jom tengok apa yang ada kat pantai ni.....

Sebelum sampai ke pantai Parangritis, kitorang sempat singgah kat Gumuk Pasir..... or Sand Dune...... tompokan gunung pasir yang terhasil dari angin..... memang terasa macam kat padang pasir.... tempat ni selalu dijadikan port untuk penggambaran filem atau wedding photo shot.....hmmmm special banget...

Pantai Parangritis yang kami pergi ni memang tak sesuai untuk mandi manda... dilarang sama sekali...... laut dia ada cengkungan yang dalam so boleh kena tarik dengan ombak... ada kisah dongeng mengatakan you are not advisable to come here wearing green and red shirt... as this is the favourite colour for the penunggu laut and secara kebetulan... ramai yang jadi mangsa habuan laut ni memakai warna baju merah atau hijau... Allahualam....

so we chose activity yang lebih santai and relax..... to ride an ATV..... memang best....... ride then singgah makan jagung.... hmmm romantik nya...

weehhooo.... yang kat belakang ai tu..ai punya special trainer......

okay that's the end of Day 1.... actually malam kami jalan lagi..... tapi ai akan combine the story in my Yogya-Bali Culinary post.....

Day 2

On the second day... kami lebih santai ...hanya sewa sepeda bisa sampai kemana aje.... to rent a motorbike is the best way to explore Yogya town...... and cheapest too..... tapi ada gaks kenangan pahit... bila kena tahan ngan polis trafik sebab langgar lampu isyarat..... for god sake how do we know that we cannot go straight when the traffic light is green..... ggggrrrrrrr....memang gerammmmm...... nasib baik masa tu dah last ride sebelum we all depart to Jakarta.... and kami terpaksa akur dengan membayar IDR150,000 (equivalent to MYR52) ....if not the justice prevail..... polis tu memang tak faham ke kita ni tak tau or tak sengaja...

Okay....put aside the summon issue...moral of the story...extra careful when you ride in Indonesia....... tapi dengan motor ni jugak la kami ronda-ronda sekitar kota Jogja.......

Menariknya kota Jogja di mata enche hubby...... ialah bahasa yang digunakan..... memang sama macam apa yang ai selalu dengar di kampung enche hubby...... so ai yang agak pelat tapi boleh bertutur sikit-sikit pun rasa excited bila dapat speaking bahasa Jawa.... enche hubby terasa macam balik ke kampung....memang ikutkan asal usul....family enche hubby memang berasal dari Jawa Timur.

Jejak pertama kami adalah ke Keraton..... the Sultan Palace... lokasi Keraton ni memang dalam town...and Sultan masih tinggal di Istana ini.....

Nak masuk dalam Keraton ni kena beli tiket masuk, untuk orang and untuk kamera.... and wajib pakai tourist guide supaya tak sesat katanya...

Sibuk enche hubby kenal pasti salah silah keturunan nenek moyang dia...... jumpe......

Taman Sari ni ibarat taman larangan untuk Sultan dan anakanda serta isteri-isteri terchenta..... so we're so lucky to get a guide yang memang tak habis-habis suruh we all pose...... so jangan jeles..... ini pun ai dah cut yang mana over.....hmmmmm
