Dzafrel's 6th Hair Cut at Kluang

Dzafrel is very phobia when it come to hair cut.. Moment he saw the hairdresser chair he will start screaming and many hairdresser surrender to cut his hair except for the Otai one. I once brought him  to the Curve where they have the car to attract a child for hair cut.. But it does not seems to work on him. On Jun 12, we were on our way to Tg Leman, Kota Tinggi Johor and saw this old barber shop right before Kluang Station. While waiting for the rest of family member to arrive, I thought it will be a good idea to cut Dzafrel's hair. Nice and clean shop, owned by a Chinese Uncle, it was about 9.00 am and the shop was just open. We were his first customer.
So this is the lucky hairdresser...
And is fully equipped..
Moment the scissor touch his hair, then start the crying and screaming session.. becoz mom wanted to capture the moment, so Kak Mar have to hold him.. and there goes the cutting session.... he is so tense and it has to be done while standing... Sometime we gave him sweet.. but worried that he might choke becoz of non stop crying...
But this time, with Mr. Lai gentle approach, he started to calm down a bit and the proper hair cut can be done.. normally , his hair cut sometime can be a disaster.. tobek-tobek, too short or senget...
So the result is ... hmm not bad.. Siap boleh sikat lagi..
Something special about this shop is it has lots of antique items and one of it is this transistor.. or nowadays we called it radio.
Well done Mr. Lai.

Dinner at Rak Thai

Thai food has always been my fav food as well as enche hubby. My daily cooking are very much influenced by Thai cooking culture where the use of fresh galangal, lemon grass, kaffir lime leave, lime juice, coriander roots and leaves (cilantro), shallots, fish sauce, nam pla are among essential ingredients to add the flavour and aroma to the dish. No doubt that you can easily get the Thai Food at any stall around here but they have done it a Malaysian way. I prefer something more authentic. enche hubby loves it coz of the spiciness and simplicity of the dish.

It happened, me and enche hubby passed by this restaurant that serve halal thai food called rak thai located at Mid Valley. The cook is originated from Thai and the price is reasonable.
I wanted to order Tom Kha Goong (Tom Yum seafood added with coconut milk) where it is served in young coconut but not my luck coz the coconut is not available. So I am a bit dissapointed to have the Tom Kha served in a just a bowl. So I can't scooped out the young coconut flesh while sipping the spicy and sour soup. But then, I must confessed that even without the coconut, the taste of the Tom Kha is still awesome. I don't need other dish to go with my plain rice. Less is more.

enche hubby ordered the pineapple fried rice.. hmm .. very nice indeed and fully garnished with seafood (prawn and calamari).. His normal comment is.. "Nanti you boleh try masak cam ni... senang je... simple tapi sedap".. Actually he prefer me to cook at home.. but lately ni I'm a bit lazy to cook.

As for drink, we chose fresh mango juice and ice blended served with mango.
Overall, this place is recommended by me... will come again InsyaAllah

Silicone Kitchenwares

Remember, last 2 weeks , me and enche hubby went to Mid Valley.. while browsing around the shops from The Gardens to Centre Court , Mid Valley, I was caught at the colourful booth which sells kitchen accessories. Rather called accessories than ware coz they are so cute... suddenly, I remember I need to replace my can opener which I bought in IKEA few years ago... I feel like crying when ever using that can opener...
They do have many other things which I feel like buying but enche hubby just standing there staring at me do the payment.. In other words, he wants to make sure I only bought the one that he has agreed me to buy.. He knew I am so tempted to get other things.. Of course he did this once in a while... There are ranges of colourful items.. baking wares, pizza cutter, mould, roller pin, apple cutter, peeler, hot mat, spatula and etc...
So finally, I bought the shocking pink can opener.. Felt so happy

ICT during daytime

Me and enche hubby have attempted many times to go to ICT, Shah Alam and witnessed with our own eyes of what many people has describes about it. The main attraction is the colourful lighted trees. But looking at the traffic going towards the ICT makes us deferred our intention. Last 2 weeks, on my way back from kenduri at one of my office mate house in Meru, enche hubby suggested we stopped by and see how is the ICT look during day time. Hmm.. not congested at all . In fact there were only 2-3 cars including us. Since my kids were properly dressed coz just came back from kenduri, then why not I let them be my models... In fact the dress Daini and Isha is wearing is my own hand sewn smocking dress which I made for Darin and Daini.. now the dresses were inherited to Daini and Isha... Suddenly I felt I wanted to do smocking dress again... okay, let's talk about this later...

What's surprised me is that the photos look superb in the day time. A few days later, I went there at night to bring my SIL from Kedah... will update the photos later but.. my experience is, it's better for you to see in real at night instead of photos.. but you wouldn't know if you didn't experience it yourself..

This is my favourite shot. Kalau mom yang lari dah macam citer hindustan le pulak...
Picture of mom and Baba taken by Daini...

The memoirs of my camera...

What will you feel when you were so excited to blog about your happy moment but you can't... I can't because of my photo captured were in my poor camera which was accidently dipped herself into the salted sea water.. hu hu that's the end of it.. I am not so sure whether it can be recovered or not...maybe she got a sense that I am looking for a replacement.. so there you go... commit suicide...

When I looked at her birth cert, it was officially mine on January 2009. Down the lane for 16 months with us, is a truly hardworking snapper and most reliable camera.. we captured almost everything and everyone close to us realised her existence... I really get distracted with this... Can't think of the solution yet.... enche hubby said I can still have the photos coz the memory card wasn't affected. I hope so...

Anyway... I will get those photo from other source i.e BIL, SIL or whoever ... and will update on me and family away for enche hubby's family gathering in Tg Leman, Johor.

Danisha's Birthday Party

I have a short time to plan something for Isha's birthday. To bring her to dinner might not cheer her up... so I guess we still need to have a small party for her... hurriedly went to Balloon Buzz to buy a balloon bouquet..  I was looking for Dora character..but Isha was scared coz the size of Dora is bigger than her.. so bought Pooh balloon for her instead..

Ooh ooh oooh Staying Alive..
Bought a heart shape cake in Baskins Robbin and that's it.. we can start the party. Venue chosen for the party was at B'yyu Patisserie, Shah Alam Mall..the concept of the restaurant is open english garden.. they serve spaghetti, all sort of traditional malay kuih, pastry, pies etc.. I tried their Koleh Ubi.. taste so nice... Unfortunately, due to my poor planning... our little party was a bit kelam kabut...at 8.00 pm most of the food I wanted to order sold out. So the owner of the shop agreed we may buy outside food and bring it here to eat. Apa lagi.. I cepat-cepat gi beli Subway.. Luckily it was just us one family , my niece, Alya and my brother and sister in law.. the rest of the party were filled with screaming, excitement and of course joy...
It happened the freelance artists passed by and requested to draw Isha's photo for RM15. Why not?? Potrait sketching took about 20 minutes. And the result is...
Isha was so busy with her guest, balloon and cake until she forgotten herself to eat... so when I wanted to pay the parking ticket.. she came out with a statement.. "Ma, Isha lapar lah.. Isha nak makan Mc Donald..." I thought she was kidding .. but keep repeating saying that. She was serious about it so here we go again.. another little party at Mc D.  She insisted to bring her balloon to Mc D.. and kids are still kids... Mc D always make them feel happy...
The happy faces of Isha
Happy Birthday, Isha..
