Secret Time Out

Need to stay back but need something sweet to release the tense running through my vein. Intended to buy a slice of pecan butterscotch cake but ended up having dinner with 2 officemate there. Browsing through the menu and the smiling face of a lady welcome us saying life is sweet. How I wish it's true all the time...

The 2 frenz ordered Tom Yum Kung...
So I prefer to choose grilled dory fish with mozarella cheese.. Topped with cherry tomato and served with potato wedges and asparagus. It's a simple dish but the presentation catch my eye..
I don't know secret recipe light up a candle on each table ... but I llllloooiiiikkkeee!!!!!!!
BRAVO!!! Back to office ... stay for another hour and off you go.... I bought the cake but ended up eating at home..with the kids...imagine a slice of cake for 3 little mouth plus me...it's so sweet.

Nando's Treat

Last Sunday, drop  by SACC with Daini, Isha and Dzafrel. Isha was so grumpy and nagging us to get her something to eat. Repeatedly saying that she's hungry. It was only 5.00 pm.. too early for dinner, so thought of buying her Big Apple Donuts and she's quite okay to settle with that. But hubby suggested we ate Nando's... Really!!!! It's been quite a while since my last visit to Nando's. I like the taste of this spicy peri-peri but it would taste better if they serve with chili sauce. Normally we will bring our own chili sauce to give the flaming grilled chicken the real taste .

But handling this three kids in restaurant is a bit challenging. They will do all sorts of actions before the meals was served.
Hubby and Daini
No matter what, at least it gets you in the mood for the next day to office... On the way back just realise their promotional signage which says Why did the chicken cross the road ? The answer is to get to the Nando's on the other side! But why are we crossing the road? The answer is ..... you know it.

Birthday Party featuring Barney

It's a birthday invitation from Linda and Syed Aiman for their lovely boy Syed Rezaqiib. The theme for this party is Barney, then the pressie should be something related to Barney.. I just bought this little cute Barney which can sing when you press its cute hand.
Barney was safely wrapped with purple coloured wrapper and add on the purple ribbon to give the final touch to the pressie..
This is the real shy Barney...
Rezaqiib blowing off the candles.. he's officially turns 2

Movie Combo

Last Saturday, flipping through the newspaper and saw this movie show timetable. Underneath the showtime is the Snippets for When in Rome. So thought of choosing this movie coz it sounds interesting. No reservation was made coz me and hubby need to drop by a place and don't know how long will it take.

We arrived at TGV Sunway Pyramid at about 9.30pm..luckily the queue is not long.. hurriedly bought 2 tickets of Semerah Cinta Stiletto . It's a sincere movie but the fact that their idea of highlighting the 1 Malaysia theme is  a little bit too obvious and overshadow the main cast. I was disappointed with the ending and hoping for something more connected between Stila and Leto rather than just a bump after long lost friend were met.

Cast and Crew

    • Director : Ahmad Idham

    • Cast : Farid Kamil, Lisa Surihani, Cat Farish, Shaharuddin Thamby etc.

    • Genre : Comedy, Romance

    • Run Time : 90 minutes

    • Rating : U
Synopsis

Pretty university student Siti Laila a.k.a Stila (Lisa Surihani) comes from a good family background and is well to do while Leto (Farid Kamil) is an average Joe who works as a fishmonger in the wet market opposite Stila's posh residence. They meet one day when Stila follows her mother , Datin Faiuz, to buy fish for dinner with Stilla's boyfriend, Raymond

Time is still early when we're out of the cinema.. so me and hubby looking at each other and the idea just pop out from our mind.. Why not go for another movie?? this time hubby got his say.. so he chose Date Night for the next movie. Both of us enjoy the movie as it is just a blend of romance of middle age married couple with a little bit of unexpected actions that made the whole story awesome.

Our next movie definitely going to be When in Rome and I can't wait to watch the movie...perhaps this Saturday night????

E Filing

Yup... it's April.. means.. it's time for tax filing.. so for the past three years I've been doing this through e:filing. It's much easier than the conventional paper returns... Except that you tend to do it last minute and the system get congested...so this time I'm more prepared..Compiled all the necessary documents :

  • E A Form

  • Book Purchase receipts

  • Insurance Statement

  • Dividend warrant

  • Zakat Receipt

  • Sport Equipment purchase receipt.
Then I start to upload those information to the system. Good thing about this e:filing is that you can log in an upload your information then save it.. so you do this as often as you like until you are satisfied ... and one thing I like about e:filing is the auto calculation mode.. So you can do your tax plan and manage your saving efficiently.
So today, I have successfully submitted my form and hubby's and yes...just wait for the refund cheque from the tax authority.... I am proud to be a responsible Malaysian Citizen

Datelines around the corner

Meeting tight datelines can be very stressful... especially if you need to stay back at the office on Friday evening.. your concentration and energy level has dropped .. so what can be done to release the stress ??? Simple....save your work in your portable hard disk. Bring back the relevant documents for reference...then just clock out from office.

It's Friday so must send kids for KUMON class..luckily their class is at the nearest mall.. while waiting for the kids to finish their KUMON class... just bring over your lappy to Starbuck... then switch on the lappy, order light food and drinks and have a sip of ice blended NEW Espresso and Cream Frappuccino Blended Coffee and a bite of Blueberry Cheese Cake....

The rich and creamy Bluebery cheesecake
The frappuccino
and don't forget your chips.. you'll need this while doing the thinking and reconciling your figures....or you'll crack your head
Finish off your cake..
Then .. you'll be happy to start your work
Wait... before that... upload photos, update blogs...and times up.. kids finished their class... what!!! Still haven't start work yet?? Actually I can work for hours here...with the light music on... it's just the right ambience for work... Next  step is to order more bites for the kids... so they can wait for you patiently..and get back to work...you'll feel your  thinking mode is at the highest efficiency level.. figures ties...notes prepared...well.. I'm done..... I guaranteed this is workable for me.. but can't do this often coz it's pricy and not good for weight watchers ...by the way.. mission accomplished..hurray.. no need to go to office tomorrow... looking forward to spend a wonderful weekend with family at home.

Family Vacation to Sabah - Day 2

As planned, today everybody woke up early and get ready to go to the Mount Kinabalu. It took us about 1 and a half hours before we can view the Mount Kinabalu. The scenary along the journey is fantastic. I guess the +ve iron is filling the air.. so it's good to get a deep breathe of fresh air to clear your lungs which we hardly get way back in KL. We chartered a 12 seater van with a driver and hubby drove another car.. My mom and her assistance were well prepared with the home cooked breakfast and lunch so less the hassle to go and look for food plus we have so many toddlers and babies following.. just imagine if you want to bring them to restaurant...surely become a chaos.

The driver by the name of Shadat which looks very much alike of  Amy Search said that our first stop would be Nabalu Park.
We had our breakfast here..which is Nasi lemak daun pisang and sandwiches.. the aroma of the nasi lemak along the journey makes everybody feels very hungry. Nabalu Park has a few rows of shops which sells souvenirs. B'coz it's still early in the morning, we get a good bargain for being the first customer of the day... I bought some souvenirs (fridge magnet and t-shirts)

Grandsons of Tn Hj. Idris (from left : Fiqri, Dzafrel, Farrel and Faheem) .. We're cousins
Me and family with Mount Kinabalu as background
One of the view point and strategic venue for photo shot.
Tn Hj Idris clan.
The next stop is Poring Hot Spring. A good picnic spot with the combination of hot spring , pool and waterfalls.
Once we reach to the centre of the recreational park, the kids eyes has spotted the pools. Nothing can stop them from jumping into the pool. The kids were busy with the slide pool and we let my brother to take care of them.
I am curious to explore the route to the waterfalls. The directions state it's a 7 minutes walking distance to reach the Kipungit Waterfall. There is another waterfall (Langanan Waterfall) which tooks about 2 hrs journey to reach there . We did not plan to deep in the water so, just snap photo, wash our face and deep in our feet into the water. Guess what.. we got fish spa here ... it's totally free of charge.. so that's keep us here for another half an hour before we realise we must quickly come down the hill to take our lunch and leave at 2.00 pm. But it is wonderful, i've once deep my feet in Tasik Dayang Bunting, Langkawi and the cat fish is ready to give you a mild bite and tingling sensation. Same thing here except the size of the fish is much smaller and I don't know what kind of fish they are.
The next stop is Kundasang Town itself. It's just a row of stalls along the roadside selling the local kerepek and fruits.
Then continue our journey to Kinabalu Park. Shadat explained to us the history bit of Mount Kinabalu.. like a school trip laa...
Before we end out trip, we requested Shadat to drop us at 1 Borneo , the largest and latest shopping mall in KK.
Main intention is to bring the kids to Mc D so that tonight Mom and Baba can peacefully enjoying ikan bakar located behind Sabah Handicraft Market (previously known as Phillipino market) famous of selling pearls and handicraft....The price is not that cheap but one thing for sure , its fresh.
So end of Day 2. The next day, we just walk around KK town and ready to take off to KL... Had a great time and looking forward for next year trip
